DME Sales Business Development

MedRev Solutions is a leading healthcare consultancy providing denials management, AR resolution and payment review and recovery (underpayment) services to healthcare providers nationwide.  Clients include DME, device manufacturers, national laboratories, hospitals, physician groups and surgical centers. 

MedRev is currently seeking a DME Business Development expert to drive our national sales efforts. This role will effectively build partnerships, close new business, and drive nationwide DME sales efforts. You will be responsible for earning new business and expanding our denial management & aged AR resolution reach within the DME industry.

The National DME Business Development position will report directly to the Chief Operations Officer. 

Responsibilities 

  • Proven track record in outside sales, existing relationships within DME are required 

  • Develop trusted relationships with client stakeholders, positioning MedRev for ongoing and/or new project work 

  • Work closely with internal resources and clients to expand MedRev’s reach in the DME industry 

  • Communicate clearly and effectively, both written and verbal, with clients and internal stakeholders 

  • Proactively communicate risks, issues, roadblocks and concerns to MedRev leadership 

  • Effectively prioritize tasks/projects delivering high quality results while meeting established deadlines 

Requirements 

  • Minimum 2 to 4 years DME business development experience 

  • Minimum 2 years of outside sales experience 

  • Motivated self-starter with the ability to work both independently and in a team environment 

  • Superior time management skill set with the ability to work with internal and external stakeholders 

  • Ability to creatively problem-solve, analyze markets, create a plan of action, and execute on established goals 

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills including the ability to effectively interpret, communicate, negotiate and educate others 

Preferred Qualifications 

  • Experience with C-Suite client levels and an educated customer base 

  • Client relationship management experience including creation and delivery of effective/persuasive client presentations 

  • Knowledge of MedRev healthcare client revenue cycle departments (business office/PFS, managed markets) and processes (aged AR resolution, denials management) 

  • Knowledge and understanding of payer denials: incorrect/incomplete billing, coordination of benefits, non-participating provider, service/patient not covered, medical necessity, bundled charges, pre-cert authorization, investigational/experimental, etc. 

  • Proficient with Microsoft applications – Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint
